At first, we planned just another Prayer Conference. But God turned it into something far better. There were 12 churches (six different denominations including two independent churches) from three neighboring States: Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota gathered together at the Lao Evangelical Free Church in Rockford, Illinois on Saturday, April 24, 2010. There were over 100 people attended the Conference to pray and worship together as ONE CHURCH.
Afterward, church leaders gave some feedbacks with a sense of excitement among our Laotian churches:
"First of all, I have to give a thumbs up to the LORD and praise His holy name for what he has done for the Laotian community of faith. I also want to thank all of you who are willing to be apart of this divine service. The Spirit of God moved strongly among us, because of our obedience in the unity of faith.
I can testify about this, we are moving forward in the right direction by the leading of the Holy Spirit. First time at Milwaukee I brought three people with me. This time I brought six people with me and they all enjoyed and got touch by the presence of God. One of our ladies got healed from her sickness during the prayer. I believe this is the sign and the beginning of God miracle among us.
All of you saw that the number has increased double from the last meeting. This is not just about the number of people who attended the meeting, but most importantly many of us opened our hearts and shared the deep feeling.
Thank you for sharing that, I personally like straight forward and open talk. When we open our hearts to God and to each other, then we will see the movement of God's Spirit among us. This meeting is matched with the word "LIFE". We want to see life among us through praise and worship, through prayer, testimony and through the message. Let us continue to keep our unity. If there are areas we are struggling with, let us turn to God in pray and ask the Holy Spirit to help us to overcome our differences of theology and character. I know the devil doesn't like Christians to be one, he wants to see us separate. Thank you once again pastor Von "WE HAVE ONE CHURCH". When you said "ONE CHURCH", it hit me with surprise.
We had a double blessing weekend in Rockford because of the 1040 youth night the Spirit of God strongly moved in that place. I'm ready to move into different levels of faith, and I hope all of you agree with me that the LORD wants to lead us into a different levels of the ministry that fills with God's anointing power and blessings.
We did bring the Fire of the Holy Spirit home with us in Madison, because that Sunday morning a couple of my leaders came together and prayed in loud voices with passion and the fire of the Holy Spirit, and I really enjoyed my preaching on that Sunday, and we had a great service. My pray for the next time at MN will increase in triple numbers and new level of God leading" Pastor Sanhty T. (Madison, WI)
"Wow! Praise God, thank you for every body who has same spirit I believe if we all continued to do this God can do more to us." Pastor Bruce k. (Rockford, IL)
"Everything was wonderful. Thank you all for making this happen. WE ARE ONE CHURCH with different ministries which God has entrusted us with." Pastor Vong L. (Minneapolis, MN). As the main speaker in the Conference, Pastor Vong also challenged all of us by quoting from Pastor Jim Cymbala's bestselling book "Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire",
